Objectives, activities and expected results / to be achieved

Goals

This productive innovation project, which is part of the Increasing Capacity of an Existing Establishment typology, aims to create conditions for Neptune to optimally implement its construction and rehabilitation activity, total or partial, of recreational or sport boats up to 24 meters, for luxury segments, as well as vessel guarding activity (dry dock), now having a shipyard equipped with the most modern technologies for various operations inherent to its productive activity, from carpentry to metalworking, from fiber to composites and finishes, with an innovative and distinctive design, and also for dry dock activities having in parallel a much greater production capacity, which will also allow you to develop the international reputation of the company and promote a progressive and sustained growth of your business outside Portugal.

Activities

Neptune's investment in productive innovation project will encompass the realization of a wide range of investments with different purposes:

1. Rehabilitation of a shipyard for the manufacture and refit of vessels and for dry dock activities;

2. Acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment for the production and refit of vessels, several of which are highly innovative for the sector, namely a CNC station, Autocad software, a 3D laser scan, Rhino software and a 3D printer.

3. Acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment to provide dry dock services;

4. Acquisition of two software for operational optimization within the concept of industry 4.0, the production control software and the intelligent monitoring system of operational and storage processes;

5. Optimization of energy consumption through the acquisition of photovoltaic panels;

6. Reinforcement of Marketing skills, through the acquisition of a marketing plan for the dry dock activity and differentiated promotional materials that will include catalogs and films, in different languages, for the dissemination and promotion of the company;

7. Optimization of organizational efficiency with the acquisition of a computer structure that will work in a network, managed by a server, with Office software, which will enhance the results of investments associated with industry 4.0 and with the acquisition of a study to optimize the operational layout and organizational.

Expected results / to be achieved

1. To assert itself as a company and an international reference brand in the recreational and sport boats segment up to 24 meters for the luxury segment;

2. Create conditions to obtain an excellent positioning and a high reputation in the national and international markets, aiming at a sustained growth of its turnover, which intends to exceed 11 million euros in 2024 and its profitability, which it aspires to in that year more than 2.8 million euros, with an export ratio exceeding 65%;

3. To significantly increase its productive capacity through the rehabilitation of an old shipyard to develop its activity and the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment and various software that will simultaneously allow it to optimize operational efficiency;

4. Resize your vessel construction and refit offer, combining sophisticated technologies with innovative designs and finishes, allowing the personalization of each vessel;

5. Extend its activity to the provision of dry dock services, using the most advanced technologies available;

6. Build a highly qualified team of workers.
